  • Excellent writing skills are essential and the ability to spot a story is vital. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the media and their needs, an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Description of work:

  • Based within The Trust’s Marketing and Communications team, the role will involve working closely with colleagues across the organisation, acting as a communications consultant for The Trust for the South region, advising on the most appropriate PR opportunities.
  • The post holder will work closely with key regional journalists to deliver positive media coverage for The Trust, raising awareness and celebrating impact around The Trust’s work for young people and recruiting more young people onto our programmes and into positive futures.
  • With a brief that extends across events, fundraising activity and profiling success stories around our work, you will have experience of proactive media relations, event PR, feature placement, marketing, social media and issues-based campaigns.
